my biggest fear with this is the release of carbon into the atmosphere via burning fossil fuels coupled with deforestation and urban sprawl.
with fewer and fewer plants and animals to trap the carbon we're releasing into the atmosphere the more and more likely we are to hit a runaway greenhouse effect.
