Does anybody have a substantive defense of this bill?

Not really.
One concern I have with the C corps, and I can't find an answer anywhere is are they planning on getting rid of the 15% bracket and only having say a 20% bracket? If so this will this will increase the tax on a shitpile of small C corps with taxable income of under $50,000... not unlike the individual income tax side.

We all have to remember one thing, this is about the income tax. All of us on here generally know that the poor and lower middle class hardly pay any income taxes at all. Any changes at all for the income tax is going to benefit the wealthy.
