The city is pretty much gonna be shut down without subways, like it was with irene last year which didn't even amount to anything. As you said saz, northerners flip out at the first sign of a storm

mandatory evacuations downtown. schools closed. my office is closing (they tried to kick us out, lol at them). pretty intense. i wonder if it will actually be a big deal.

It's not that big a deal here but apparently it is in NYC. Friend has been waiting in line for 1.5 hours to get into Whole Foods lol.
