I think you are seriously underestimating China. It is not the same country it was 20 years ago. Not even close.
And putting boots on the ground in China just means those wearing the boots get exterminated. A ground war in China...an extremely bad idea. Even trying to penetrate air defenses on that kind of amazing scale....*shudder*.
Not that any of this matters. Economics precludes it.

The point is that we have the ability, to deploy forces on their soil any day any time we want. And those forces would likely be special forces, which would fly in on, oh idk our super awesome stealth god damn helicopters, or HALO jumps.
I think you're overestimating China and underestimating the US military. Who cares if they build one shitty little stealth fighter. They can build 1000 and it still won't matter.
And those air defenses are overrated. How are they going to be operational when we blow them up with cruise missiles?

The only way the US and China end up fighting is through some sort of proxy conflict, and I'm pretty sure that stealth fighters aren't exported.
