What if a useful shit was left on the phone, like world history in the 1600's, maps on where to find teh gold, blueprints to build a better gun or the combustion engine

You'd have all sorts of useful stuff. Cameras, docs, calculators, flashlight, dictionary (you could glean more knowledge from that). But would that person be able to reverse engineer it? Could they derive new tech from the phone?
