However, this unflattering description of America did not come from the mouth of an imaginary enemy but the nation’s longest-living president.
There is a Chinese saying, "If you go to a mountain too often, you will encounter a tiger." The US has experienced its share of military successes over the years, but its armed forces have also suffered some terrible setbacks.
Trump's plans to meet at Camp David with the Taliban showed his desperation to extricate the US from its longest war in Afghanistan which could turn into another Vietnam for America. Despite some terrible setbacks, it won't be an exaggeration to say that the US will continue to fish in troubled waters and maintain its excellent track record as “the most warlike nation in the history of the world”.
America can never learn its lesson.
