Well, not really. He had to choose between shooting against the possibility of getting shot. As I put in a prior post of a scenario, even if the gun had been real there were other choices in that scenario that would have given him a good 80% or more chance to not really be shot. But it requires a different class of police officer, different training, and a different mindset to the calling of public service.

That's not what the experts say, according to Ueber. According to Ueber's experts the passenger was put in a situation where he felt he had to choose between shooting or getting shot.

Take it up with Ueber if you disagree.

I'm just conversating, not attacking your position particularly. This officer probably did feel like it was a choice between shooting or getting shot, but that in itself doesn't justify anything. It just means that we have cops that are doing the wrong things to get into this position and thinking the wrong thoughts once in the position. (assume that was directed at Ueber).
