As much as I would like to see Da'esh wiped off the face of the Earth, so too would I like to see Bashar's golden chair taken out from right under his @$$.

anyways, whoever wins the civil war militarily isn't going to be who runs the country. unlike iraq there isn't going to be a debaathification process so the military is going to immediately be allied with whoever takes over, which will be the syrian government currently in exile. the christian and moderate militias will no longer be allied with the islamists, so they'll be allied with the government, and the US is going to flood the new government with cash and weapons.
