I've pulled a few levers for democrats over the years but I am and always have been a republican. I just find it odd that its so hard to find people willing to identify themselves as democrats now. And as for the green party? Now that was a wasted vote. You might as well have stayed home. Did you vote for Cynthia McKinney when she ran for President? She caused me to vote democrat twice, once for Denise Majett and once for Hank Johnson just to get rid of her. I've moved to a more conservative neighboring district since then.

Non pines for the halcyon days of Eisenhower, Goldwater, and Bush 1. The days before the dark times, before the Southern Strategy.

Whaaa?

Maybe way down south that would be the case, but there is no shortage at all of Democratic Party peeps around the country. The only group larger is Independents. Around here finding an admitted republican is like trying to catch someone littering in the park. :)

Way to shirk your civic duty by failing to do what someone thinks you must do.

Voters today are willfully ignorant...we want to make it compulsory to pile onto that subset of voters? Imagine all the great representatives we'd get....
