If Hamas is the same because they kill Israelis then the IDF is also the same for killing Palestinians, see how that works?

It doesn't work like that. ISIS and Hamas murder civilians. IDF responds to Hamas's rocket attacks on its civilians. When there are no rockets flying into Israel, there are no rockets flying into Gaza either. It is a very basic difference.

Of course it does. It also bothers me that the IDF are blowing up entire buildings to "take out" someone that was shooting rockets from there earlier in the day. I see that situation much like people that go on a shark killing rampage after a shark attack occurs on the beach. Seldom does the shark stay around in the same area after an attack so the chances of killing the exact shark responsible is very low. Its not a very tactical nor practical thing to do.

Should we also discuss how many innocents the IDF has killed in that same amount of time? I'm fairly certain that number is much higher. But yes, all of this bothers me. The terrorism, the fighting, the killing - none of it is a good thing imo.

The fact that they would have happily butchered thousands and thousands more Jews (but for the Jews stopping them) isn't in your mind the same as killing large numbers of Palestinians?

I'm not sure I follow but I'm also not sure what incidents you are referencing. Just seems like more thought crimes to me, however. "If they think about killing someone, they are just as guilty as a person that does kill someone." Not really an ideal I subscribe to.

Categorically incorrect. I can provide numerous instances of Israeli assassinations, carried out with bombs, during ceasefires.

well I reject HAMAS rocket attacks as well.

both sides have committed atrocities and arguing proportionality here is useless.

I can accept that this may be an intractable situation for the time being. until both sides want peace it won't happen
