It was like early evening. Why would he be going up to windows and looking in? People are likely still awake and in the rooms hes peering into. He was probably just wandering back and staring at different houses(something a lot of people do) and Zimmerman made a snap judgment. Zimmerman was obviously on tilt over the burglaries as well so its not like he wasn't looking for someone to be the culprit. To a hammer every problem is a nail.

zimmerman said he was looking at houses in the 911 call, not looking into the windows.

which, again, isn't suspicious unless there is a social expectation to keep your head forward and down while you walk.

yeah i'm going to believe the transcript of the 911 call instead of the transcript from an account a year later.

See, there's another area where I believe the police did some shoddy work. Zimmerman supposedly told the police this the day after the incident. Did the police look for muddy footprints under windows?

It's a huge difference between walking on a sidewalk looking "at" houses and walking up to a window and looking in. If it was raining, there would likely be footprints and smashed vegetation of some sort. Fingerprints on windows. Something.

Did they ever search for anything like that?

A few years ago, a person walked through my parents' yard and shot at my mother. They were able to track him for 2 miles through the woods the next day, until he crossed a railroad track.

Well, that would be because at the time, they didn't need to. All evidence obviously pointed towards what Zim said, as did eyewitness accounts. Nobody needed to verify if he was REALLY looking into windows. That didn't matter. What mattered was if Travvy jumped on Zim unprovoked and beat the hell out of him, which evidence clearly showed.

This was backed up by eyewitness accounts the night of the shooting. Only after time went by, did their accounts change. Anyone with 52% of a single functioning brain cell knows that when you start asking people months after an incident what happened, stories change. They become unreliable. You can't take an account 3 months later and say "See, this person says such and such!" Heck, investigators know that half of eyewitness accounts are questionable the day it happens, much less 3 months later.

It's why they didn't press charges. Now, millions of taxpayer dollars were wasted to make the al sharptons and jesse jacksons of the country happy, and the man was STILL found innocent and they're still not happy. Why not? Because people didn't want a fair trial, they wanted a guilty verdict, damn the evidence.

As the old saying goes, I'd rather let 100 guilty men go free than to convict a single innocent man. You must ALWAYS error on the side of innocent.
