Ive never been a member and dont like politics but its nice that there's a lobby for gun rights.

I don't agree with the NRA, but I'm glad they are there. You need equal and opposite douche-baggery in our country's politics unfortunately.

Since the mid 90s the NRA stopped being a lobby for gun owners. They are now a lobby for gun and ammunition manufacturers. They are no different than the tobacco lobby of the 60s, really. Their only concern is gun and ammo sales. That's it.
A new gun owner's lobby should emerge to combat them.

The NRA pushes the boogeyman agenda in that we need to protect ourselves because "what if" our government turns against us?
Bzzzzzzzzz. Wrong answer. Not gonna happen, but thanks for trying.
Side note: no civilian needs to have weaponry that shoots 5 bullets per second.
