Thinking about your post, the choice really can't be anyone other than a person of color or the intent of this change won't be fully satisfied for some of the loudest advocates.

honestly i think coins should be relegated to the area of "great americans". the 50 states thing was a great example of how you can keep doing multiple designs and i don't think quarters are going anywhere anytime soon.

I think nailing the Women+PoC will quell any real dissent. The people you're describing's influence extends to small sections of twitter and tumblr exclusively.

We should create a 3 dollar bill and put Scalia on it to troll him.

I think our currency is fine the way it is. In fact, I'm tired of constant attempts to make things equitable through stupid initiatives such as changing a picture on money. How much money will be spent on committees and research to determine who should go on the bill? Does it even really matter? If 300 years of oppression and racism can be made up for by putting someone's face on some money... then so be it. :wall:

I know a lot of the changes made to US money in the last 10-15 years or so was due to the ease of counterfeiting it. Changing pictures isn't really that big a deal in that context when you constantly have to make modifications to keep ahead of modern counterfeiting techniques.

You're just saying that cause you don't like blacks or women, but you know you would be all about it if they were discussing putting Brigham Young on the 10

That's exactly the case here and the main reason why the $10 was chosen for the picture change as it was going to be given a make over anyway to combat counterfeiting.
