while she was a very interesting person she did not invent the predecessor to wifi anymore than the person who invented the wheel also invented the predecessor to the car. she developed frequency-hopping tech to be used to elude the jamming of radio-controlled torpedoes. the us navy implemented it after he patent expired. this idea of rotating frequencies is what is used in wifi. it's foundational, and important, but it's not the "predecessor".

and as for "defeating the nazis", as her torpedo patent wasn't inplemented until the 60s in the navy, what she did was help sell war bonds. important, to be sure, but it's something many did. so why not Women Airforce Service Pilots? They had a long time coming for recognition. in the war they weren't even given a flag when they died since it wasn't "military service", they were just moving stuff around. these women took the role of non-combat pilots so the men could take the roles of combat pilots. It took Goldwater & Carter (full military status, recognized as veterans of WWII), Reagan (awarding WASP the WWII Victory Medal), and finally Pelosi and Obama (Congressional Gold Medal) to give them various status and recognition.

How's Harriet Tubman going to possibly compete with that?

Would you accept "founding mothers" as going along with the theme enough but answering the call for a women on our currency?

:)) good point

Harriat Tubman works for me, I don't see it how you do that it would be a token amongst what is otherwise a themed set. Just another important person in the history of the US amongst others. Plus I look forward to all the bigot outrage pouring in. Just wish it wasn't Hamilton under the axe
