My mother remembers. 71 years ago.....71 years. She was crying a little bit this morning thinking of how long ago it was.

Thats why I think visiting the Arizona carries a lot more weight than say visiting Iowa Jima. Their is no glory in the Arizona, no nobleness of cause - simply a bombed out ship still full of many young men who died not even knowing they were at war
