Haven't you heard? Tearing down statues is the new hotness. The irony of tearing down statues of abolitionists...or in this case...of f**k Lincoln!!! is sailing completely over heads.

The rest of the state is scandalized...but to be fair they are always scandalized by Portland. Growing up in rural Oregon people would talking about Portland as if it were San Francisco. The belly of the beast. There are mutterings that this could turn Oregon red. I wouldn't count on that. But people are souring fast on the protests, even in the city, where support is highest. Hard to make excuses for this.
