First of all, I've been saying for years the Mandalay is an overpriced piece of shit. It's actually several standards BELOW resorts that are half the price. The Venetian is far superior and this demonstrates why - most people at the Mandalay are complete savages although even I never would have guess one of their guests would go this far.

Second, it's not really surprising. The more surprising thing is that a 64 yr old guy with no military background and no apparent motive (yet) managed to engineer what was obviously a well planned and highly effective killing spree. The MOST shocking thing is that shit like this doesn't happen even more often. You dorks act like gun control doesn't work. We don't have mass shootings where I live. There is basically no violent crime in Japan, and Europe would be the same except you can import crazy shit from the Balkans with few checks (but this is being corrected quickly).

How about this. You buy a gun, you go in a log book, and the onus is on you to prove you can responsibly handle a firearm (instead of the government having to provide you are a literal terrorist before we can restrict you from buying). Implement that shit nation wide, Canada is already on board, and then I'll be happy to seal the borders to keep the Mexicans and their guns out of our country. You guys stumble around wondering dur what can be do...why the f**k should a single guy have 8-10 guns? That's instantly suspicious as far as I'm concerned, you should be banned from further purchases after a few and if you acquire them illegally and we catch you instant 20 with no parole.

my father has more guns than that, but half of those he was given by my felon uncle who could no longer own them. there's nothing wrong with having that many guns. when we go to the range we'll bring 6-8 to fire in one outting

largest magazine we use on the AR is 5 though. so basically the gun with the most bullets is the bolt action 22 with the tube magazine. those hold like 15, but it's just for plinking

Such a brutal thing. RIP to all those killed. I don't know what can realistically be done to stop a madman from deciding to shoot up crowds, but it is always painful to see you guys take these hits, again and again. Just awful.

f**k depressing times. It's like groundhog day, every time sometime like this happens people clamor for more gun control, more restrictions but it never happens. If we couldn't get anything done after Sandy Hook, then I don't see anything changing.
