The far left in America has proven to be as incompetent and disastrous as the centrists who dominate the liberal political movement.
It has come to the point where I'm actually overjoyed to see some ignorant piece of shit bash a leftist in the face with a stick.
I've had a number of discussions with people involved in the antifa movement, and they are completely ignorant of history. When Richard Spence got punched in the face, they were ecstatic, as if some major blow had been done. Instead, this simply heightened the level of danger at protests, without doing any real damage to the alt-right. Now, with video after video revealing that the antifa are actually just cowardly kids lashing out at defenseless old people, the narrative is really shifting away from them. They aren't defending the helpless - they are attacking them, usually for no greater reason than that person speaking freely, which they have the absolute right to do.
Not long ago I finished a great trilogy about the rise of Nazism in Germany, and how the liberals, communists and socialists all tried to punch the Nazis into oblivion. It never worked - instead, it simply energized the Nazis, who feed off of chaos, violence and disorder. This went on for literally twenty years before Hitler seized power. When I bring this up, the usual rebuttal is "lol so I guess WWII didn't work?" Needless to say, the comparison is utterly moronic - WWII was the intelligent application of organized violence on a societal level. Totally different than sucker-punching some dude who is giving an interview, and much different than beating some old man with a skateboard.
To sum it up, antifa is an absolute f**k embarrassment. I don't know how or why the left became so utterly retarded across the spectrum, but it has. The centrist liberals are corporate shills, and everything to the left of them gets more and more annoying as you go along. These people need to be shut down before they do any more damage to the leftist cause. Not sure what the point of this thread is really, I just wanted to put this out there: f**k antifa, and f**k the spoiled and cowardly shits at Berkeley.
