White nationalism isn't new, nor is "facism" in America. These groups largely remained to themselves and were never even talked about. Primarily because they don't make a dent in shit statistically. Stop making up excuses for why you lost the election.

You lost the election, phos, along with the rest of us. Maybe more than most. The GOP is going to pay for this for a long time. The VOTERS rejected that semi-sentient Cheeto.

These groups largely remained to themselves and were never even talked about.

As you well know, this isn't about the election. That's just a childish deflection. The reasons behind the resurgence of nativism, white nationalism, and general xenophobia in America (and throughout the West, it should be pointed out) are macro scale and sociological in nature. trump has certainly fanned the flames, and has created something of a positive feedback loop to feed the problem...but he didn't cause it. He's just a manifestation of a deeper social rot. That is the devil that needs to be kept down in his hole, so to speak. This isn't about something so comparitively trivial as an election. This is about the large scale decline in basic human decency that has allowed subhuman trash like trump (Or Le Pen, for that matter) have a serious shot at high office.

Luckily for France, Macron isn't even half as odious as Clinton was to the voters.

Ok.

I was referencing the hate groups of today when I said they largely keep to themselves (not a 100 years ago). Nobody even gave a f**k about them, as shown by the google search results. Then the election happened and the whole 8000 of them apparently helped Trump win. Again, statistically insignificant. It's not even worth trying to explain this.

It's true. And the remainder are probably klansmen. Movie theater talkers at best.

Probably shouldn't have said "never" then.

Lots of people gave a f**k. Millions of people, perhaps. And that's just the ones willing to admit it to themselves and others. There is a pretty significant wave of creepy nativism and xenophobia rolling across the developed world, in case you hadn't noticed. These clowns are just the loudest ones.

As I said: As you well know, this isn't about the election. That's just a childish deflection. Again. You gotta get over the election. It was last year, man. I understand why you'd want to cling to that short lived happy time, given the goddamn hilarious shitshow we've had since. But it's beginning to sound like that guy who's 25 and still talking about shit that happened in high school. Time to move on. We've got a nice ongoing national humiliation to endure with a smile. With nukes and golf clubs and spray tan and taco bowls and kitty grabbing and LOTS of twitter. Lighten up and enjoy the ride. Hell...the House just passed a bill that could strip workers of overtime pay! It's going to be a riot I tell you!

The election? Clinton? Psht. This is 2017. Focus.

Wherein Phosphide is actually f**k correct for once.

Nativism and xenophobia are not new. They've been widespread throughout our history. Electing a president who is so overtly xenophobic and nativist is certainly a stark contrast to recent history. And the actual organized shitkicker nazis and klansmen are a very tiny group.
