Chinese president is in town. Coincidentally, of course.

Maybe he's playing the crazy card? Showing Xi his willingness to use force and giving him pause on handling North Korea? "Maybe Trump is crazy enough to attack North Korea and maybe we do need to rein in Kim Jong Un before we share a border with a western state?"

Eerily feeds into Ex's theory on the chemical weapons attack. Timing is so perfect on this.

The attack should have been up to the UN, or NATO. Why are we always doing their job?? Oh wait, they don't do their job. Never mind.

Lets see here, bombing civilians with chemical weapons is a major no no. Bombing civilians with HE, or napalm is the accepted way according to the official rules of killing. The only thing I can say = May God help us all. @};- :ar!

If it's even that complicated. This strike had probably been arranged well before the chemical attack. The thought of it all just being stagecraft so that trump could be interrupted at dinner with the news of it in front of the Chinese is just comedy noir. Trump really is a dolt. Not just saying that. He probably has only a cursory knowledge of the actual geopolitical situation and just views this as a primate demonstration tactic.
