He still has a lot of power and he's using it.

Lincoln never said what Rowling attributed to him. It was said about Lincoln in a biography, and paraphrased a philosopher Thomas Carlyle. I looked it up because it didn't sound like a thing Lincoln would say, because it wasn't. Of course, Rowling is a lazy author so it makes sense she doesn't look anything up

Honestly, I'm starting to think public officials shouldn't be allowed to communicate via 140 character verbal sneezes. Unfiltered lies with zero accountability or oversight.

If we're going to become so ridiculously post-literate as to use social media as an offical communication tool between the public and their elected officials...we need some sort of legal framework Technically I don't believe trump is even allowed to delete tweets. And yet he does. And apparently without consquences.

Personally I view trump's tweeting as deliciously self destructive. It's just the damage he does the rest of of us by extension that pisses me off.

It does matter. If she attributed to Hitler it would have a different tone. If she attributed it to Donald Duck it would have another tone. She attributed it to the greatest president of the United States.

The point of the quote is that wealth destroys more people than poverty by the way; it was originally written as "prosperity". Only great men can stand prosperity. When thought about it this way, Trump was born into wealth and made it all the way to the presidency; he wasn't destroyed by it so the test of his character as the quote was talking about found him worthy not lacking.

So it does matter.
