Bud...the vast majority of those collisions are between two USN vessels. Of those that involve civilian craft - the civilians are the ones getting hit. And the South Korean fishing vessel is actually thought to be an anomaly as well - that was highly unusual.

Oh look, it's so normal that the Chief of Naval Operations Adm. John Richardson orders a full one day operation pause...
http://www.cnn.com/2017/08/21/politics/ ... index.htmlAlso interesting - earlier this month the Marines grounded all of their aircraft for 24 hours.

I think it's not hacking but a failure of seamanship. The Navy is stretched thin trying to keep enough ships on duty with only like 250 and it's leading to lax training. We've focused so much in land war since the cold war this is really a problem decades in the making

I peeked into a Reddit thread about this and some dude broke down his average day in the Navy. It was pretty insane how hard he is worked. If what he said was true and was true of his shipmates, a lack of sleep and overwork is definitely a contributing factor.

Decent enough speech today, because he read it. I mean you can disagree with the policy but he acted somewhat presidental
Now as for the content... He basically is just saying we're gonna do what he criticized Obama for repeatedly before, we'll do that again

It's to be expected - he's basically deferring to a bunch of generals now. They're gonna push for a sustained commitment to Afghanistan. I was hoping he would've pulled out, little bit of a bummer.
