this is the kind of thing that trump can tie his own noose with. i sincerely doubt he'd let kutchner take the fall. and so he can pardon him for anything he may have done to end the investigation. at which point i would say majority of GOP itself, let alone Dems, would vote for impeachment

Yeah I'm open to that idea as well. The NYT and WaPo have slightly different takes on this most recent revelation:
https://apple.news/A51fjno7xQJiEJadwLhcS8gBut Saz if this is true wtf is Trump doing still trying to play nice with the Russians? There's just a lot here that makes no sense when you start to look at it from that perspective.

If that's Russia' goal - cooperate with all investigations (Flynn isn't) and do it fast. You'd think Trump would want to get ahead of it as quickly as possible.

I considered it. But that would require the ambassador to tell Russia about his concerns with kushner and his plan to use Russian infrastructure for a secure line with the Trump Transition Team and then for US intelligence to have intercepted this information that he was relating. From what I understand even though the WH revealed the meeting only in March, the justice department already knew because of their intercepted messages. And if someone is revealing THAT, since it indicates how much we snoop on the Russians, then I think we're getting towards critical mass

Yeah, it just doesn't make sense when you consider the environment too.

People wrongfully believe that Russia was trying to help Trump win. That was like a bonus for them, not the main goal. The point of what they are doing is to seed discord and distrust in the political system, and they can do that with or without Trump. It isn't strange for the Russians to now go after Kushner... This all fulfills the same goal, which is to destabilize the US and keep it looking inwards.
