Different levels of scrutiny and experience/expectations.

The scrutiny doesn't get higher than running for president. At this point her best bet is probably going to character assassination on whoever the GOP nominee is and bring their negatives up to match hers. Then it's just a democrat vs a republican and in a national contest that gives her the upper hand.

Exactly.

Exactly what? She's had 7 years since her last run for president to improve her image and she's more unpopular than ever. She had very high favorability while serving as secretary of state, but it quickly evaporated as soon as she started making moves toward another presidential run. How does this bode well for her? Or are you saying that since none of the major GOP contenders have ever run for president before, their superior net likability/trust numbers are hollow?

I do expect that no matter what, the Republican nominee will have less people trusting him by next November than he does today. Clinton's negatives, however, are monstrously high. It will take more than your standard election cycle to bring her opponents negatives up to the same level.

she could very well win the general and lose the election.

If she is not locked up by then. A possibility that seems to grow every day.

.......................why?

Destruction of govt property just for starters. Gen Petraeus did just a fraction of what she did, and was basically toasted. Other then that, she is basically a liar and asleep at the wheel.

He definitely should run as non-partisan. Or maybe organize the Trump party. If so, Republicans wouldn't have looked as stupid cockbrains as they do now.
