i'm convinced that trump is gonna win the election and i'm coming to terms with it. Trump is running the Jimmy Carter campaign "I'm not one of them" and that's probably exactly what the country needs right now. T/he best thing going for him is that he's the further thing fro a bush or a clinton and if you think about it logically, this was bound to happen after 2 decades of bush / clintons running the country. We want something different, not just a different skin color like obama, a different type of guy.

Wha? Eisenhower was a fine president but he governed during the best of times when everyone had faith in all our institutions politicians were trusted/revered. I don't know how he'd do now.

But honestly I would settle for a Ronald Reagan if he can make old white people act more stoic and optimistic again. When I was little kid, old white people were very understated and knew how to put things in perspective. And yes, they were all racist, but they didn't whine and howl that "THIS IS NOT THE AMERICA I KNOW AND LOVE ANYMORE" when Eazy-E was invited to the White House. Maybe less olds would act like shrill children all the time if we had another Reagan type who encouraged America to man up. And no, Trump is not that guy. I don't know if we have one in this field for either party. Obama was supposed to be that guy back when he took office in 09, but instead ended up basically being Bill Clinton if Bill Clinton had inherited a bad economy.

don't get me started. Eisenhower is easily the most overrated president in american history. He single handily took the cold war to another level with the U2 incident and he could have stopped the path to the vietnam war in it's tracks but didn't. The only thing he did worth a shit was give us highways

You know what the real irony about obama winning the presidency is? He was able to get away with one of the most blatantly.... unfocused president campaign messages in american history. "change". Mind you I voted for obama. I like obama. But people took one look at him, saw he's black, and added change to the equation and voted for him because they figured the black president had to be vastly different from all the other white presidents we've had. how can you have any more "change" than having a black president? Even people who I would not consider "racist" still voted for him on the thought that he had to be different because he was in fact black..


When in reality he's more conservative than Clinton will ever be. He's no different than the last 3 democrat presidents that we'e had. He's more conservative on drugs in american then the war on drugs president was lol. He's spent more on the war on drugs every year that he's been in office.


The irony being that, a lot of conservatives will vote for trump not realizing that in a lot of ways, he's more liberal, a lot more liberal than Obama could ever dream of different. Trump, rather you like him or don't like you , you have to agree on this.. if he is elected president,, some real shit will be changed. For better or for worse.


I'm not really big on politics until election time but i would watch MSNBC/CNN nightly if trump was elected president becuase it would be anything but boring and stuff will actually be happening.
