Who says their goal is to help the GOP? I've seen no evidence to support that.

I think Limbaugh does much better when there's a Dem in the WH..

I often wondered why the conservative talking heads in the media often seem to be working against the GOP. In 2012 Limbaugh didn't do the GOP any good when he pissed off women by calling a women he didn't agree with about birth control a slut for 3 days on his show.

The GOP's problem is they refuse to distance themselves from these guys.. They think they are doing the GOP some good, when they're really not. Not with the independents and moderates, which are the real force in a presidential election.

By the way, I highly suggest anyone who hasn't ever actually listened to Limbaugh before do so once. But only if you can fully process what I've explained above about his whole persona being a shtick. And there's no real point in listening to him often, or for very long, but he really is an incredible showman whose talents stand out from everyone else in his field. Once you realize the substance of his political commentary is just a farce, it's really impressive to observe the way he does his thing.

There's no doubt Limbaugh, Beck and the rest are in it mostly for the money.. I KNOW they really don't care about the GOP, or its future.. It's really all about, as you said a business model and all about ratings. Beck was a failure in life until he became a hate monger.. Now he's a multi-millionaire.. That goes without saying..

My confusion is is how clueless the GOP seems to be about this, and how they refuse to distance themselves from the conservative talking heads that are hurting the GOP on the national level with the Indy's, moderates and minorities.. What I mentioned in the other post is a good example.. When the controversy hit the media about Limbaugh calling this woman a slut IIRC Romney himself barely addressed it.. He said some BS like he would have choose other 'words'.. He basically refused to address or criticize Limbaugh.. That pissed off a lot of women I knew..

But good, with the current state of the GOP the country is better off without those morons in the WH..

I think I just answered my own question on why the GOP doesn't have a problem with the likes of Limbaugh and Beck..
