My very 1st job when I was 16 was at McDonald's.. Yeah they had them way back then..

Anyway I realize right then that dealing with the public wasn't for me.. People are for the most part A'holes, especially at restaurants and other service areas.

My wife has an aunt who every single time she goes to a restaurant or fast food place complains, whines, and usually sends her food back and then stiffs the waiter/waitress.. She's a lovely person.

No F'ing way I could deal with people like that.. Not for $50 an hour.. I'll spit in, piss in and then poison her food.

Ya, I couldn't handle it either. Wound up working a graveyard shift at a plastics plant for the next school year...but....the public was blissfully somewhere else and I didn't have to smile while fighting the urge to deck them.

I couldn't work at McDonald's for one reason alone: the goddamn noise. All those beeps would drive me crazy.

But I would if I needed too. I despise people who think certain jobs are beneath them. Anybody who works hard enough to make an honest living commands my respect.
