I was reading the Donald's statement on this business in Virginia

We condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry and violence, on many sides. On many sides. It's been going on for a long time in our country. Not Donald Trump, not Barack Obama. This has been going on for a long, long time.

He's who he was during the election. The country elected a con artist who's also a huge dumbass.

David Duke told Trump to watch out - they elected him to power.

Stunning.

For the record, the GOP is hitting Trump hard on this:

Even Fox News is carrying this. I really think the way he's handling North Korea has soured some.

Also, don't be surprised if Manafort is indicted soon. If what spicerlies twitter account says is accurate there is some seriously shady shit going on. Even on the personal level - he's potentially looking at mortgage fraud.

Ted Cruz is calling it domestic terrorism. Because it is just that.

The loyalty to him is amazing. I truly don't understand how his combative and childish antics don't turn these people off.....

For the party, greater good, etc etc

It has to get worse before it gets better. Party before country at least until that is then seen as supporting something Trump does which is finally unpalatable as an American. Gonna be a while.

Interesting article on Stephen Miller.

https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2017/05 ... nald-trump

"At the young age of 31, Stephen Miller has his own office in the West Wing and the President’s ear. He also has held a shocking worldview since he was a teenager. From his writings on the 2006 Duke lacrosse-team rape scandal, which gave the then–college junior national media exposure, to an alleged association with a white-nationalist advocate, William D. Cohan dives deep into Miller’s tumultuous past."

Not surprising - him and Bannon are from the same insane cloth. Kelly is probably working hard with McMaster to see Bannon and his crew out asap.

Case in point. Lol. I'm thinking what just happened in Charlottesville isn't helping him right now. I'd bet a million dollars these generals see threats abroad and then look back home at this bullshit. Gotta get the house in order.

As an aside, I don't quite understand all this rhetoric downplaying Kelly because of his lack of political experience. Rising in the ranks, especially to that of three and four star general, is pretty political. May not know the politicians themselves but they know the game and the associated bullshit. I don't think Kelly can change or control Trump but he can do a lot elsewhere.
