Fyre Festival

I had never heard of this festival until today and, based on Twitter's reaction, it should be renamed the Schadenfreude Festival.

Rich "influencers" go to exclusive island for luxury, pampered festival experience (featuring Blink 182 and Ja Rule :)) ), then the Hunger Games break out.

Aw.
Every dark cloud has a silver lining. But lightning kills hundreds of people each year who are trying to find it.

well i think it was more that the people were sold on one thing, and thought it was going to be this wondrous experience that you cannot believe, they invested heavily in it, they believed in it, and then when they got it, it was a cheese sandwich in a styrofoam box for at least $1200; they literally were promised gourmet meals and got a cheese sandwich. woodstock made no such promises

A fool and their money are soon parted. Someone said that. The $500 blue jeans with fake dirt. Yes they exist and people buy it.
