Staal has been released from the hospital. I'm guessing he hit his head so hard he was knocked out. He was so out of it when he got up. Hope there isn't lasting effects.

They are Stanley Cup contenders from here on out barring major dysfunction (colloquially known as "the leafs")

I wouldn't be so quick to count the Leafs out. They have always been a long shot, but this series is not over. Last night was a close game and both teams seem to have settled down a bit - if the Leafs can get going from puck drop, on home ice, the Caps are going to be in for a tough game. I can guarantee the crowd is going to be a hugely energizing presence and if these young guys still have the hunger, they will be bringing their best.

If the Caps win, it will be a well-earned win, and not the washout it was supposed to be.

Yeah definitely not counting them out. They're playing great hockey

Caps have been the better team tonight and utterly dominated the 3rd.

I still don't know if they'll win.

Leafs were playing to lose every second after Matthews's lucky goal (luck in the bounce - his play was still absurd). They were feeling the pressure.

That was the issue the entire series. They were oscillating back and forth between nerves/tension and relaxed/sloppiness... It's because they just don't have the experience that lets them stay steady. That's only something that comes with time... And here's hoping next year we'll see things come out a bit differently.
