In Philly, provolone or cheez wiz is a matter of preference. Any other cheese type is fraud.

if you go to the 5-8 or to Matt's, you'll go to one of the places that claims to have invented the juicy lucy. the juicy lucy of course is minnesota's sandwich gift to the world, the cheeseburger with molten hot cheese inside the patty. you can get variations -- my personal favorite is the merriam park blucy at the blue door, which is blue cheese, garlic, and bacon inside, and red currant jelly spread on top of the patty -- but a "juicy lucy" has american cheese on the inside. that's how it is. and you can get that at the 5-8 or Matt's

Always with the cheese wizz. We have an awesome cheese steak place here. Knew it was authentic when i told the guy the Eagles were shit and he told me he was going to spit in my food.
