True, I have seen people's tweets show up on Facebook and such. But I thought tumblr was more of a blog than it was a status update.

it's whatever you want it to be, really. some of the blogs i follow are nothing but reports on cool things in space, some are nothing but pictures. given the number of people posting political stuff i just figured that tailored posts and topics from PCF with the right tags would bring in some traffic.

I was going to start posting a few things every day and even had twitter up all day long at the office but I've just been entirely too busy to watch the feeds come in and pick up interesting topics for discussion. I started a tumblr account but haven't done anything with it yet. Wasn't really sure where to go with it to be honest. I was hoping we could have some opinion pieces but then I remembered Quell trying to do that and no one was really interested.

Maybe we can do some contests with Tshirt giveaways or something.

I have various opinion pieces available, but they are all to do with stuff in the past - like the Bullied Bus Monitor, etc.

Anyways, I'd be glad to help with the social media, I am always on Facebook anyways. I wouldn't post anything more than news article and some quotes from the discussions - maybe present both sides of the argument and ask what people thought? Get the discussion going on there too. Let me know.

Let me help with the twitter. I dOnt currently have an account because I conquered the twitter sphere in one week so I got bored and deleted my account. I'd make a return to help out though.

I notice the twitter account is nothing but partisan threads from the election forum.

Is that really how PCF should be rebranding itself. I appreciate the election forum gets traffic, but from experience that sort of stuff can be had many places elsewhere.

In actually trying to argue and have posts of content, the PCF community is fairly unique.

I'd showcase both. We need a diverse community and that includes partisan hacks.

fewer partisan hacks would be nice.

i know it's only my second "think about it" thread but we could use far more of that. or exploited's. those are fun too.

We need more posters in general. Partisan hacks make up the peasant class of any political forum so there will necessarily be multitudes of them to go along with a few more thoughtful posters if we are to grow the community.

I'm not saying your wrong. I think its important we market ourselves more on content as well as having the other stuff. simply because a lot of places have the other stuff.
