Mistake 1: imagining the mind or brain is like a computer. Its not.
Mistake2: misunderstanding and therefore misrepresenting (involuntarilly) Sam Harris' meanings

Did God have free will when he decided to create the Universe? Or were his options limited by the existing condition? Let say he wanted to just enjoy the sunlight... He couldn't because there was no light. Which meant that he had to say "let there be light."

a mythical being didn't actually create objective material existence
ultimately life is merely a chemical reaction that occurs in response entirely to the demands of exergy and our perceptions of it are merely a result of our "mind", a mix of biochemically stored personal perspective and cultural influence.
we don't perceive ourselves as a few particles held to together by magnetism swirling around in a chemical soup contributing to universal energy equilibrium but that's what we really are. Can that be said to have a "will of it's own"?
I don't think it can.
