Value is a subjective judgement someone makes about how some object affects their life. Nothing more, nothing less.
If an object's "value" has an objective basis we wouldn't even question the exchange rate, nor would negotiations be necessary for a financial transaction.
It is because of the subjective nature of value that a market is even possible.

The addition of the qualifier "flourishing" rather merely survival makes your process even more arbitrary than it was before.
Some people don't consider themselves to be "flourishing" unless they have billions. This is a completely subjective quantification.

Also whatever value someone says an object holds for them in many cases isn't even true. You say you will risk your life for your wife, but you are saying that from your position behind a computer screen chatting on the internet and not when you are facing the very real possibility of death if you take a particular action.
What people say they will do and what they actually will do are not the same thing. This adds even more subjectivity into the equation.
