production relations have nothing to do with whether or not we're spoiled (whatever that means in this context) and if it's the same thing as capitalist driven efficiency.

Commodity fetishism seems pretty indicative of being spoiled. It alienates people from relating with where things come from.

you can be anti-consumerist and still not be aware of where things come from.
and i don't see how consumerism is indicative of being spoiled. it's the natural result of capitalism and the culture it has created. it is necessary for it to function.
