Incognito should be suspended from the NFL for at least the rest of this year, and all of next year. He extorted money from Martin, and sent him death threats. Incognito should be shown no mercy.

But Martin was so disliked by almost everyone on the Dolphins I'm wondering if he didn't have sort of an attitude, a WTF am I doing hanging around with these sweaty dumb jocks, I'm can be doing better attitude. Maybe Martin was pushed into playing football all his life because he was big and strong, but he really didn't want to play, and he really didn't like football.. And once he got to the NFL that showed.

Again that is NO reason for the treatment Martin received. Incognito should be suspended for a long time, and if any Miami coaches knew about this, or especially put Incognito up to this, they should be fired immediately. And suspended from coaching for 1-2 years.

But from what I am reading the dislike for Martin throughout the team ran pretty deep. Some of it probably was what the OP mentions, but I'm wondering if Martin had an 'I am better then this' way about him. I can be doing something I really like or something that can maybe change the world instead of putting up with these morons.

In regards to Jonathan Martin, I dont know who to believe. The NFL is a man's game and a tackle like Martin is as big or even bigger than Incognito. If that had happened to me I would beat the crap out of Incognito- walking away makes you a kitty.

Knowing that many posters here played on their school's ping pong or archery teams I'll clue you in. It is literally gladiator school. The weak are eaten by the rest of the animals on your football team. The atmosphere on a football team congratulates brutality whether it be used against the other team or the perceived weaker team mates in your own ranks. That same brutishness was used outside of our ranks. We egged the bused-in black's buses from the hillside at the drop off. We threw half eaten produce at the dweebs playing Dungeons and Dragons at lunch. We were a uniformed mob that had the help of school staff in getting away with our thuggery. We felt all so superior and I am ashamed of being a part of it.
