And just so we're clear - my problem isn't with vegans. My problem is with trendy people going vegan and those that don't set proper dietary needs to see what they need for their children and themselves.
The health of the child should come first and foremost, before any stupid beliefs (whether food or otherwise).
Vegan diets are so healthy!

If you want to go vegan then Indian cuisine is probably best suited for it rather than trying to whip up some sort of dish that pretends to be meat.

Ya, they've been doing it for a couple thousand years. They are pretty good at putting a complete meal together and it's not hard to do once you get used to it and develop your pantry. I could probably pretty much live on Indian Vegetarian with a few "Night's Out" at a steak joint a couple times a year. Did it on a weekend Ashram at the Krishna Temple in Utah. The food is actually pretty tasty.
