I figure the best way to get started is to get enough people to move into a relatively sparsely populated county to be able to take over the local government.

The equitarian philosophy is completely nondiscriminatory and accepts all as partners in equitable relations.
In theory this would include burgeoning machine intelligences and alien intelligences, if any be found.
