google+ is awesome but it fails at being a way to keep up with friends since no one uses it.

Well I got an early Christmas gift.. The Samsung 11.6" 3g Chromebook... Very, VERY nice.. Lightening quick, smooth.. Nice keyboard. Very compact and light.. No moving parts.
It's not a full service computer.. It has limitations. It is mostly an Internet machine. But it's going to be a very handy traveling computer.

Cool. In a pinch can it serve as a full blown computer though, or would you call it strictly an internet device?
