"Technical Preview" So more like an early beta. Apparently its functional. I think I've just got a bad image.

I know a lot of games aren't working for it. If I had time to play with it, I'd download it onto a partition and play with it. And probably put it on my test work tablet (slate PC). But no time at the moment =/

Never did get it to run on that system. Not sure why. Pretty typical P90 board and radeon card. Dunno.

But, its running on both a Macbook Air and the Asus laptop. Works fine. I really like the smarter window sticking, in the corners and such.

D/L 10 and put it on my desktop this morning.. It is running surprisingly good, and this is a pretty old XP desktop. I used Ubuntu on this desktop for years, but Linux isn't nearly as bloated as Windows. So I am a little surprised how fast and well 10 is running so far.

But it's an early release, I'm sure the Beta and final release will be bloated as hell, and then this machine will start to drag.

Well, when the Win8 preview came out it ran like a dog, but was polished up quite a bit by release, so 10 might even run better as time passes. I've noticed a stutter or two, but so far its been perfectly stable. Couple of things don't work. Can't install solidworks on it, and for some reason the bootcamp settings don't stick.

So far, 10 still stinks like 8, but its not a deal breaker. As long as it doesn't get bloated, I think it could be a serviceable OS. Not terrible.

Here's an ominous omen.. Very ominous actually.. LOL

I have Ubuntu AND Mint on this PC.. I have no idea why, since they are both identical it's stupid, but whatever..

Anyway I also have XP... 3 HHD's.. Each HDD has an operating system on it.. The 2 Linux OS's have grub.. The Ubuntu 14.04 grub on the HDD that I usually boot off of sees Win 10 as Window's Technical Preview.. When I went into BIOS and changed the order so Mint's HDD grub would boot it shows 10 as Vista.. LOL

My God!

Anyway again so far, so good.. My sound didn't work, but I manually went into devices and got it going..

Thinking about putting 10 on my old Dell laptop just to see how it runs.

I've used 10 for 24 hours and it's only had to be re-set once, because of updates... Besides that it's been great. No bugs, no lock-ups, no BSOD, nada.. Like I said this is old computer, but 10 has been fast and smooth, so far I got no complaints, damn it!!

Months ago when the rumor came out about MS giving Win 7, XP, etc users the Win 10 upgrade for only $10-20 I said that was just a gimmick because very few if any XP machines will be able to run 10.. I think I was wrong. I remember users trying to get their XP machines to run Vista, which was a nightmare.

But Win 10 might be friendly to older machines. It is to mine anyway.
