It was actually a problem with the server. Kerio Connect, to be exact. It doesn't work well with Apples.
One may say that this would be a Kerio problem, in this case. And, they'd be right. In this case.
The problem is that MANY separate programs, servers, etc. have problems in Apple. While, individually, it is each of their problems, collectively, it becomes a problem for an Apple user. The correct answer is to fix each individual program. The easy answer is to work on a PC.

Facebook has muscle and Microsoft doesn't? The marketplace is crowded for Microsoft and Nokia, but not Facebook? Nobody likes Facebook. People have it because they have to, and Facebook is dropping users in the West like flies. Who in the world is like "omg I can't wait for the new Facebook OS! Then I can buy my friends Starbucks gift cards on their birthday and get pokes!11!"
Mozilla, maybe. Because they are actually cool and make great products.
Also, Microsoft just game out with Windows phone recently, so naturally they are going to not do well against the establishment on the first legitimate go-around.

Well, I'm not sure about others, but my stuff is set in a way so that all of my music is displayed on my iTunes on my laptop or phone (and when I had an iPad that too). Even if it's not physically there, I just click/touch and it'll begin playing. I think it's just a matter of having things configured a certain way, not that it's incapable. And of course that's not saying that what you're using isn't better, I'm just sharing how iTunes works for me.
That being said, I will also say that iTunes on the Mac has turned into a bloated piece of crap.
