There has been some pretty incredible progress in AIDS and Cancer research lately... I'm really hoping we can get ahold of this shit.

Well I saw where the HIV virus was being reprogrammed and kicking Leukemia's ass. Which to me, is far cooler:

didn't they finish a trial of this drug or a similar one and it was way below expectations though? if i remember correctly it was something like 20-30 percent prevention rate.

yeah i remember a year or two ago they did a trial of an antiretroviral and it was extremely lackluster in results. of course, it was probably a different drug since this one is much better.
