Are you a religionist?

So I am thinking about religion. I have a belief system, faith if you will. What I find confusing is some people claim a faith, yet support other faiths; Islam is a religion of peace. Are you Muslim or Islamic? If not then why claim to know something that you have no faith in? If you are Muslim or Islamic, how can you claim Christianity is peaceful after the Crusades?
