While this is good, they didn't actually rule on the case. They told the 5th Circuit that until it rules, it cannot let the ban go into effect.

What happened was the district court rules against the ban, then the 5th circuit, overturned the stay because it will eventually agree with the ban.

When they do rule (and I assume uphold Texas's law), then the appeal to the SCOTUS will happen. If the SCOTUS takes up the case (or until it decides to take it up), it will probably put in a stay and then listen to it. But who knows how it rules since Kennedy is pretty anti-abortion.

Damn you 5th Circuit.

The Justice that did the most to preserve Roe v Wade when PP vs Casey was before them has been replaced by Alito....so, shit may get interesting.
