this is the part of the thread where we go back and forth on how well an american insurgency would do against the american military industrial complex:

as with many issues the truth seems somewhere in the middle, yes the 2nd amendment works better under a more formal militia structure, but as the Donner showed us even one well armed person can cause havoc among the authorities.
